Higashi Hiroshima Hirodai at night

For those who love to see places in the dark, here are some pictures for you :))
Taken on Hiroshima University day, with fireworks blaring and all
whilst I was on my way to the fencing shiai (bouts).

The picturesque place

These are attempts to capture the skies and the landscape at various times, including dusk and dawn. Hmmm.... what cameras of the phone can do to still/steal an image.

More Miyajima Pictures In Autumn

The Shika (deer) in Miyajima tried to snatch me cold lunch, and I saw some people's food were definitely the deer's lunch! Annoying deer, they are. The shikas SHOULD be THE LUNCH yum yum! That said, I could tolerate meek shikas!

For those who are uninitiated, the island of Miyajima is known for its 1000 hues of every imaginable autumn leaf colours. I think the Momiji Gari park is such a lovely garden, what with those leaves falling into the soft rustling clear river.Sometimes you can see fat carps swimming about too. Such fat carps. Such fair breeze. Such peaceful feeling that you forgot you are supposed to think of war-torn countries too. Such a contrasting colored, shrine-filled, senduk-nasi filled, cool breezed place can still exist in this mad world. WOW. God is indeed Great.

WOW 2006 Already!

It is already 2006 and guess what I slept on the chairs in THE lab hahahaha! Was too scared to go back last night , amidst cold winds, isolated streets (due to Japanese New Year's Family Dinner) and howling winds.....

Today is such a glorious day to start the year, what with the smiling sun and the bluest sky. AND I am still on holiday. Life is great. Life is great. Here are some views in the small one-unit-fits-all room at the Hirodai Uni House.

From top 1) Lunch mat still life 2) The cooking utensils 3)Nasi goreng 4) The small bookshelf with a partially hidden sejadah 5) The clearer prayer mat. On the left is the blinds, which means the balcony door is 5 cm away.

The winged Viking on the floor with a love sign. Quite interesting duncha think?

Hirodai silent morning of 18th December when all were asleep and only your footsteps would be printed on the soft snow.

Long road to the lab in this lovely blissful wintry morning.
Saying PEACE without saying. Only with a shadow :)

Fire Drill 2005 International House

This fire drill was supposed to be scary and all but it wasn't, since it was an experience to be on top of the building and trying to enjoy the view from the crane!
